Nancy Woodbury, MA, MS, RD, LD/N is a licensed and registered dietitian nutritionist specializing in primarily plant-based nutrition to prevent and reverse the progression of chronic diseases. She helps people achieve optimal health through nutrition communications and education.

Her clients are people with good taste who love fresh, delicious food, but hate to spend hours in the kitchen and struggle to find time to prepare nutritious and satisfying meals. They’re totally over take-out and the usual lunch spots and need simple strategies to fuel a busy workday. She provides actionable nutrition advice to help people choose energizing foods to feel and perform their best.

Registered dietitians are uniquely qualified to provide accurate and reliable, science-based food and nutrition information to consumers and reporters. Nancy can evaluate and interpret nutrition research to put findings into context and distinguish fact from fiction to help people make informed choices when it comes to food, nutrition and their health.

Professional Credentials, Education and Experience

Nancy has worked for a Fortune 100 health insurance company teaching wellness seminars, weight management courses, and providing nutrition counseling to corporate executives. She also motivated her clients in disease management programs for diabetes and heart disease to eat healthier and exercise. She began her health care career as a registered nurse in critical care, where she witnessed the consequences of poor nutrition and unhealthy lifestyles. She has both clinical nursing and dietetics experience in the cardiovascular units of top hospitals, including the Mayo Clinic and a teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

Her career includes managing media relations for a major academic medical center, where she worked with print and broadcast news journalists, physicians and patients to create stories about breakthrough medical treatments. In 2014, the peer-reviewed journal Public Health Nutrition published her research on the nutritional quality of conventional and organic cereals.
